2026 Yunnan Sourcing "Ambigram" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
Ambigram is a distinctive single-area ripe pu-erh pressed from a wet-pile batch made entirely from Meng Song area tea leaves harvested in 2025 and fermented in late 2025. Pure Meng Song ripe tea is not something you encounter often, and this cake shows why the area is worth seeking out: thick texture, a strong and lively cha qi, dark chocolate bitterness, quick returning sweetness, and a lingering licorice-like finish.
This is a young ripe with real character. In 2026, expect some fresh wet-pile character to remain present in the cup, especially in the early months. That note will continue to fade as the tea rests and ages, while the bitter-sweet core, fruit tones, and deep body become more integrated and expressive. Like all good pu-erh, it is built to become more fragrant, palatable, and complex with time: 越陈越香.

Brewing guide
Gongfu (recommended)
- 6–7 grams per 100 ml
- 100 °C
- Two quick rinses recommended for early 2026 sessions
- Start with 8–10 second infusions, then increase gradually
- Expect 6–10 strong infusions
Western
- 4–5 grams per 300 ml
- 100 °C for 3–4 minutes
- Re-steep 2–3 times
Thermos style
- 1–1.5 grams per 100 ml
- Use boiling water and steep for 30-60 minutes
Aging notes
In its youth, this tea will show some wet-pile taste, especially during 2026. That character should gradually fade, revealing a smoother, more integrated tea with deeper sweetness and greater aromatic complexity. Store in 50-65% RH and 70-90F, in an odor-free area, with minimal airflow.
