This white tea is a first flush spring harvest! It is fresh and fruity in flavor. The infused brew is very white and laden with lots of hairs from these buds.

This is a special tea made from Jinggu Yang Ta Large Leaf varietal tea (Camellia Taliensis). The tea is picked in the early spring, wilted slightly and then dried with warm wind tunneled through the tea until it is dry. The taste is sweet and soupy with a sugarcane and lychee fruit aroma!

Disappointing silver needles

"I am disappointed in this silver needles tea. There are a lot of black and dark tea leaves. The needles are desiccated and not plump. I always have to pick thru the leaves and end up throwing half away. Lately it's been impossible to get good silver needles tea."

Delicious

"Very nice, I like to have it in the evening, and the low caffeine hasn’t affected my sleep. I find if I steep too long it can be astringent, but it’s my favorite of the current teas I have"

Excellent white tea!

"Amazing flavour and aroma. Flowers, honey and dried fruites."

Creamy White Tea

"This was my first experience with a white tea and I got it through a sampler pack. As soon as I opened the package, I noticed the beautiful full leaves (at the bottom of the bag they are a little broken). I have tried brewing this tea both western style and gong fu style. Both work very well. I have found that if I want tea at night, this is the perfect one because it is not strong-tasting and feels calming to drink. I would recommend this to anybody that hasn't tried white tea yet and wants to or is just looking for an affordable option!"

I enjoyed it!

"First time trying silver needles. Leaves a good light taste taste in your mouth. Quite different from other white teas i have tried. I am putting this one on the shelf to see how the taste changes with age."

Great taste!

"Very tasty. I'm inexperienced in regards to tea, but this blew me away. It had surprising depth of flavor, and great variability depending on the temperature it was brewed at. Truly a lovely tea that I can wholly recommend."

Great for Grandpa Brewing

"This tea is perfect for Grandpa brewing. It has a nice flavor when freshly brewed and has almost no astringency even when steeped all day, over and over. I first like to brew a western style cup (about 5g tea in ~300g water for 2 minutes, then pour out the tea into a separate cup). The resulting tea is very flavorful and pleasant. Afterwards, I grandpa brew the leaves for the rest of the day. I have a mug with a strainer in the lid so that I can just keep the leaves submerged in hot water and drink the tea all day. Even under such brutal treatment, this tea does not get very astringent and stays delicious. I am very sensitive to astringency as I have damage from radiation to my mouth (cancer treatments). This has left me with a very dry mouth and highly sensitive to astringency (I can't drink white wine for example). This tea however, stays drinkable for me no matter what I do to it. Highly recommend!"
