Outstanding Non-Pareil Oolong

"A must for a seasoned tea drinker. Not so much for a newbie. Another oolong I wouldn't have been able to understand when I first started drinking tea. While it's finicky when brewing its exemplary in its floral perfume like aroma. It's somewhat like the smell of pink lemonade. An invigorating perfume of flavor backed by the typical mild astringent mineral typical of this type of oolong. 5g 120ml gaiwan 180 degrees brewed 3x 20 sec, 7x for 30 secs. My personal favorites of the oolongs in tins on Yunnan. Aside from 2 others I have yet to purchase."

good dancong ages well...

"... and this one is aging well. It's about 3-ish years old as I sit here writing this review, and it's still packed full of flavor, with all of the right attributes that I would expect from dancong at a price point of $1-ish per gram. It's got a clean and creamy floral nuance that evolves across the full session and mingles well with some tropical fruity notes - I get banana with undertones of mango, and an acidic bite reminiscent of fresh-cut pineapples that comes out as the session progresses and the minerality builds in its strength. The finish is persistent and crisp, with a nice minerality to the mouthfeel and a beautifully long-lasting aftertaste that is reminiscent of fresh-cut florals, like gardenia, rose, with hints of stewed apple coming out to play as the aftertaste lingers on the palate and emanates from the back of the throat. It doesn't have a very strong cong wei in the first half of the session but this does become more apparent on the back-end as the spine which holds the flavor profile together and allows it to persist in the aftertaste for so long. Yummy. This is a very complex and delicious dancong with a superbly thick mouthfeel and juicy flavors that melt together and create a unique and memorable experience."

Great service, great tea

"The title sums it up. The service was great and the tea is excellent. Thanks!"

Lovely Tea

"Lovely complex tea. Medium roasted but some green tea notes definitely come through. There's a sweetness as well which offsets the earthy flavour. I'd happily buy this again but there's a few other teas I'm ordering to try first!"

高香

"这款单枞的香气真的是浓郁高扬,喝一次就难以忘怀,一出汤,整个屋子香气满满,口感丰富醇厚。"

Very underwhelming

"I had to really push this one to get that full deep dan cong tast. Don't get me wrong, the tast is good but I had to do like super long infusions basically cutting down the amount of infusions to about 3 OK and 2 very watery infusions. I personally will probably not recommend this particular one. Maybe next year is a better harvest. (mine was the 2019 harvest)."

Fantastic DanCong

"This dan cong is really well developed in complexity with a light floral, citrus complexity upon aeration (slurping). I would recommend this tea and the caddy is also well made and reusable. This is probably a top 10 dan cong experience for an incredibly reasonable price with a strong aroma that translates well to the flavor experience in the cup."

Highly recommended!

"Incredible tea! It has strong chaqi, drinking this tea is a wonderful experience. The taste of the tea soup is rich and thick. The aroma is really pleasant. Highly recommended!"

Q&A

I just received this tea and intend to keep it for a special occasion. My question is how should I store it. The tea in the caddy is packed into a plastic wrap. Should I open it and just pour it into the caddy or the bag is fine and just leave as is?
That inner bag is used to protect the tea from breakage during shipping. You can remove that and store the tea directly in the caddy now.
