Really good intense teaste
"Really good intense teaste"

Like a whiskey-dipped cuban cigar
"Fantastic aged tea. To my uncultured American palate, this tea has a strong quality of leather and tobacco, with an oaky note not unlike a good whiskey. The similarities with a cuban cigar are uncanny, and very much welcomed! The minerality is definitely there and reminds me of fresh rain hitting a dusty road."

The best Da hong pao that I've tried
"My friend is a big fan of Da Hong Pao, and after a long separation, when we met, we drank this foreign tea. I would compare the blend and pleasant astringency with long-term elite whiskey. Incredible tea!"

"По состоянию достаточно сильный. Но по вкусу мне больше нравятся молодые, у них для меня сильно ярче вкус, сухофрукты и печёная курага. Тут как-то слабый вкус показался, более минеральный, дымный"

Good aged dark oolong
"An interesting dark oolong, aged, with roasted notes in the taste. Has a pronounced individual taste. The dry leaf is large with a woody smell. The brewed leaf has a deep taste, aroma with notes of roasted nuts, spices, smoky, with a slight mineral bitterness, with notes of autumn leaves on wet ground. This tea is somewhat reminiscent of Shu-puer. The effect is warming, invigorating, calming. Changes color during the spills from amber to rich red. It's a great tea, especially during the autumn and winter seasons."

Fragrant-heavy, but mild flavours
"More fragrant-heavy than it has flavour. The first couple of brews were smooth and light texturally, but also very mild on taste. In later brews (4+), the currant sweetness does come out a bit, but it is still otherwise mild. The tea would benefit from longer steeps, perhaps grandpa-style."

Yan Yun Rocks!
"My favorite tea. My only complaint is not ordering more than 50g, so now it is a "treat myself" tea. When you open the bag, you are enveloped by the rich chocolate aroma, with a hint of leather. once you start steeping, you taste the earthy minerals, the orchid, the roast. After 5-6 steeps, it starts to transform a sweetness, with a gentle peppery touch that balances your senses. I recommend this DHP to anyone that wants to experience yan yun in its fullest."

Cannot find anything special in this tea.
"Lacks personality for me. I think I have tasted quite a number of aged teas and I cannot find anything specific here, no added flavor, no interesting note, nothing making it stand out. So the premium price seems unjustified to me and is pushing my rating down."

Pretty standard taste, expected something
"Pretty standard taste, expected something thicker but I guess aging doesn’t really do that"

Nice Aroma
"Had notes of Toasted nuts. Dark chocolate on the nose. Stone fruit and a slight floral or orchid."
