We are proud to offer a Certified Organic "Te Zhi" Ripe Pu-erh Tea from Yunnan. This tea was grown in the area of Simao and was harvested in April 2021, and wet piled in the summer of 2021. This is a "special recipe" blend of ripe pu-erh tea that has a very potent cha qi, with a thick tea soup, dark chocolate like bitterness and fruity sweetness.

The leaves used in this tea cake were harvested from organically cultivated tea pure assamica varietal tea bushes growing at an altitude 1300-1350 meters (4300-4450 feet) on summit of Ma Wei Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City). The tea is picked and processed into sun-dried mao cha, and then wet piled (wu dui) for 45 days, transforming it into ripe pu-erh tea (熟普洱).

250 Grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)

Our Yunnan Sourcing Certified Organic teas are certified organic by EcoCert SA and are certified organic to international standards (EcoCert is IFOAM accredited).**

"wonder selection and quality of product. I have ordered from many online sources and these are superb!"

Very nice!

"I was expecting some wet piling taste or at the very least a displeasing level of bitterness due to the assamica... But I was surprised! This brews up really nicely! It's sweet and fruity, but grounded and strong. Definitely making me rethink how I tend to view young Shou and assamica teas. Definitely worth a try for the price."
