Gao Shan Village is nestled in the Yi Wu mountains NNE of Yi Wu town and is one of the highest elevation villages in the Yi Wu range.

Gao Shan village is inhabited by both Han and Yao people.  Our material is the combined mao cha of two Yao families' tea gardens.

Material is from 150-400 year old tea trees and is entirely first flush of Spring 2022.  

Only 3 Kilograms in total (15 cakes) pressed!

"This is the best Yi Wu raw I've had. Very soft and sweet and oily, like you'd expect from a Yi Wu tea. The other reviewer mentioned some fruit tastes, which I get but it's not defined enough to my palate to say which fruits. I'd add that it has a bit of a hay scent and flavor, as well as a tiny bit of menthol. No bitterness makes it super drinkable and I went through steeps quickly enough to get a bit tea drunk."

"Where to start.. This tea hits hard. It brings an explosion of flavor right from the start and keeps going for 10+ steeps - 5g/100mL. Very savory, lubricating mouth feel, not bitter at all, very little astringency. Your typical sweet oranges, citrus, strawberry flavors, a hint of brown sugar in between. Body feel is relaxed but very focussed, I totally miscalculated this one when drinking shortly in the afternoon. If you don't want to overshoot your bedtime with several hours like I did, don't drink too much of this, you will be awake and time will fly by. Absolutely worth every penny, this will quickly become one of my favorites. Looking forward to getting this every year.. I hope this will be possible."
