8 Years Aged "Mang Fei Mountain" Ripe Loose Leaf Pu-erh Tea
This aged ripe pu-erh tea was produced from tea leaves harvested in the Mang Fei mountain area of Yong De county (Lincang). The tea underwent wet piling (wo dui) in a local Yong De area tea factory, and then sold to a Nan Jian area tea factory.
Tea was aged in Nan Jian from 2012-2017, and then Kunming thereafter! After 8 years of aging its "wo dui" taste (freshly wet piled aka composted) is entirely gone! It brews up a clear burgundy red tea soup, and the taste is very clear and sweet, with an earthy camphor taste.
Tea is Grade 5 size tea leaves (neither big nor small). An enjoyable and accessible ripe pu-erh tea that's great to drink now, but will continue to improve with further storage.
2012 harvested and wet piled!
