2018 "Mengku Da Xue Shan" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
A small production from a local producer and friend of ours in Mengku area of Lincang. The was produced from pesticide-free tea harvested in spring and autumn from 40 to 60 year old tea trees growing in the Da Xue Shan (Big Snow Mountain) area of Mengku. It was stone-pressed in the traditional manner into small 200 gram cakes.
Nice thick-bodied tea with honey sweet and a good deal of bitter and astringent to counter. Very enjoyable taste and aroma, with a clean and pure feeling in the mouth and throat.
