This is a blend of multiple types of Purple varietal black teas from the spring 2018 harvest!  A painstakingly blended cake contain several unique teas and multiple purple varietals from 3 different regions of Yunnan!  Bursting with flavor and aroma.  If you are a fan of purple black teas, then this cake will surely delight you!

Splendid black

"I couldn't wait years to at least try the YS Purple Voodoo. Man is this good. Has flavors similar to a Keemun but deeper and maybe a touch more floral. This is a tea to check back on every few years. I can't imagine the flavor profile with proper age. A bit of a caffeine beast it seems."

"Chocolate notes in the middle of vine tomato. More fragrant than stinky, I'll say lipstick aroma. The brewed leaves look like there is quite a bit of large leaf varietal material. Some green remains in the oxidation level of these leaves. Other material is not easy to differentiate visually, taste wise there is clearly a huge contribution to the full spectrum profile of this tea from the smaller leaf material. Genius!"

Q&A

I would like to store my Purple Voodoo cakes for several months or even years. Should i vacuum seal it or should i store it just like i got it, in the paper wrap?
If you store open air it will mellow faster... a bit more sweetness. If you store sealed the aroma will be stronger but so will bitterness/astringency. Up to you.
