We are proud to offer a Certified Organic "Gong Ting" Ripe Pu-erh Tea from Yunnan.  This tea was grown in the area of Simao and was harvested in April 2021, and wet piled in the summer of 2021.  Gong Ting grade ripe pu-erh tea is the smallest leaf grade, has a very potent cha qi, with a thick tea soup, dark chocolate like bitterness and fruity sweetness.

The leaves used in this tea cake were harvested from organically cultivated tea pure assamica varietal tea bushes growing at an altitude 1300-1350 meters (4300-4450 feet) on summit of Ma Wei Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City).  The tea is picked and processed into sun-dried mao cha, and then wet piled (wu dui) for 45 days, transforming it into ripe pu-erh tea (熟普洱).

100 Grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)

Our Yunnan Sourcing Certified Organic teas are certified organic by EcoCert SA and are certified organic to international standards (EcoCert is IFOAM accredited).**

Great morning tea

"Nice gong ting, very soft and tasty."

Jean B. (3/5)

This tea does NOT disappoint!

"A potent ripe pu-erh tea! Stands head and shoulders above 6 other ripe pu-erh teas I purchased from YS recently. Strong cha qi. Brews progressively darker in colour to almost coffee-like density, while still remaining smooth. Have been brewing it in a glass teapot, so I can geek out on the changing colours from each brew. (6+ brews) Very very satisfying."
