We are happy to offer this unique tea cake pressed entirely from Gong Ting ripe tea wet-piled entirely from Mang Fei mountain tea leaves. Mang Fei mountain is located in Yong De County of Lincang and provides an optimum environment for tea cultivation. 2018 Spring harvested tea was wet piled and then graded into various leaf sizes. Our pressing is entirely gong ting grade tea leaves, which is the smallest leaf size (and arguably the most potent).

This brews up a thick tea soup with tons of flavor and strong mouth-feel. Hard to describe this one, other than to say it's very special!

"A very good tea that also helps my stomach when my medicine upsets it."

Perfect

"The package was sent very quickly and I was able to track the shipment. Great customer relationship with Scott. And on top of that, the teas are very tasty!"

Dandelions and dark chocolate with some oomph!

"This is one of the most floral ripes I've ever encountered. It has a very strong dandelion/rosewater taste to it with a little bit of dark chocolate at the very end. Qi went straight to my head on this one, most likely from the oomph gong ting adds to the table. Very unique tasting and tasty!"

From dessert to savory

"I 100% agree with Scott on this tea being hard to describe. The first thing noticed is the strong dessert aromas on the wet and dry leaf. Rich fudge, chocolate cake, fresh baked blondie, and sweet bread. The wet leaf particular had additional notes of warm toasty nuts and rich earthy wood notes. The first infusion it medium bodied but with a full mouth feel. Notes of cocoa, golden cake, nutmeg, and fresh bread. Also found it to have subtle notes of pine. The surprise came on the second infusion when these sweet dessert notes disappeared and the tea transitioned into a much more savory and earthy flavor. String taste of pine and deep forest woods and Chinese five spice. It really is a spectacular tea with great flavor, although I found that it lost it's strength early on around the 4th infusion, but none the less it's a wonderful that I highly recommend."
