2024 Yunnan Sourcing "Synergy" Black and White Tea Cake
This tea is truly exceptional! Crafted from the Wild Tree Purple varietal (ye sheng cha) found in the Mang Fei mountain region of Yong De county, it grows wild and is harvested exclusively in March. This tea is a blend from the same origin, processed in two different styles: one as white tea and the other as black tea.
The white tea is processed using a technique similar to Yue Guang Bai. The leaves are briefly wilted and then placed in a long wind tunnel, where the airflow gradually halts the oxidation process.
The black tea, on the other hand, is processed in the style of a Yunnan sun-dried black tea.
The flavor profile of this tea is equally distinctive, offering a complex array of notes, including fruit, flowers, sugarcane, and a fleeting bitterness that quickly fades. With even a few months of aging, this bitterness transforms into a rich fruit sweetness that lingers on the palate.
An incredibly rare tea, only 80 kilograms in total production!
We also offer a Purple varietal Black Tea cake and White Tea cakes pressed from the same exact area!
