Old Arbor Tea harvested from the Guang Bie Old Village area in the Bu Lang Mountains of Menghai.  Strong, with bitterness that precedes a strong thick sweet character.  Cha Qi is strong!  A rare tea that steeps forever and will age wonderfully too!

Soft power

"Let me tell you. This tea is very out there. Althought it is not very extravagant, rainbow colored. I was wondering if I was not in kind of tea rut, recently. But I was just mostly drinking in a mindless manner, on phone, at desk etc… So I went back more often to a more sit on the floor gong fu brew, with eventual music, mindfull. I grabbed this tea out for a last sample session. And I enjoyed it immensely, I got the subtle flavors stronger than before, and the texture, the Qi. This tea has a very simple and soft surface, with huge depth hidden not to far beneath. A simple nutty apple chip. With a massive wild bees’s jungle forest. But it’s surface is so simple… And it’s depth, so deep … You have to let yourself, look with attention. This tea could fit an intense minimalist type person, as a his only raw puerh. Definitely. I love it, and just got it’s point now, but to be honest it is not even in my own top 10. But to some people, I would strongly recommend it. This already has great aging potential signs."

Excellent

"This is one of my favourite shengs from YS, I wish it wasn’t as expensive. Although, as compared with neighboring Bu Lang villages, this goes for a reasonable price actually. It has an amazing texture that is thick, super oily and quite numbing. When pushed, it does get quite bitter. However, the bitterness quickly transforms into sourness even before the huigan arrives. As mentioned in the description, the longevity is really good too. The aroma emerging from the teapot reminds me of fresh leather and thistles. The rinse is sweet and a little biting with an umami presence and a bay leaf note. The next one is more bitter. It has flavours of rapeseed, chestnut, and honey, as well as a lemony aftertaste. Subsequently, there is a herbaceous quality to the tea that complements the reliable bitterness. I noticed further hints of sandstone, white grapes, musk, and gin. The aftertaste is generally nutty and floral with a light citrusy fragrance and sweetness. It carries some additional associations like sunflower seeds, green apples, and walnuts."
