We are pleased to present a wonderfully unique and enjoyable tea cake we call "Cha Qi".  It's a blend of three Bu Lang villages with tea from both spring and autumn 2011 harvests.  The tea itself is made from high quality wild arbor (abandoned plantation) and ancient arbor tea leaves.  Interestingly these teas before being blended together were fairly bitter, but once brought together the bitterness is less intense.  The aroma is subtle but thick and stubborn, the mouth feel is pungent and lubricating, and the Cha Qi is quite strong, but without being overwhelming.  You may feel quite tea drunk after drinking several brews of this tea.

This has been blended, pressed by stone and wrapped in hand-made Dai minority paper.

Got me!

"This tea is a very lovely one. Well balanced bitterness & astringency. Full of aroma and flavours - i liked the long apricot aftertaste especially. The Qi is present but not overpowering - i would say it's like the other parameters - well balanced"

cha QI!

"If I could only drink one tea, for the rest of my life, it would be this tea. Now i'm not made of money, and I'm sure there's a lbz that would beat it in a cage match to the death. However, this tea is what made me love sheng. The perfect amount of smoky, bitter, astringent, and sweet. It's complex, but accessible. I highly reccomend it."

Silly Things Happen...

"When you you drink this tea. I do feel tea drunk and it's alot of fun to notice that feeling when I drink this tea. I love to listen to Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong or Pee Wee Russell when I drink this tea. Dance around!"

Exactly Accurate Description of "Cha Qi"

"The fact that this tea's Cha Qi is described as "quite strong but without being overwhelming" is so exactly accurate that it enhances the overall trustworthiness of Yunnan Sourcing. My way is to infuse a cup of it for 5 minutes each round...for at least 4 infusions. The Cha Qi seems to get better every time; and is ideal to sip while involved in creative pursuits."
