"I bought this for casual drinking at home, and it's precisely what I wanted/expected. The filter is easily removed, but holds firmly in place during use. I'm not totally confident the lid would be completely drip-proof if you stored this on its side, but I haven't actually put this to a day-long test. For it's price I couldn't ask for better."

"These are great for daily brewing, use at your office or on the go. Just remember that they are glass (good point can see your leaves unfold as well as the color of the tea soup/liquor -- bad point they can possibly break)! Is this dishwasher safe? Including both lids?
Yes it is dishwasher safe.
Can the lid attach to the glass portion without the strainer?
Yes it can...
Is this actual glass, or pyrex? How thick is each glass layer itself? Just conscious about it breaking, I'm not the most delicate of people.
It's similar to pyrex in that it's heat-tempered and won't break easily. The outer layer of glass is thick and quite sturdy.
