These premium mini tuo cha are made from Simao fermented ripe pu-erh. These are about 5 grams each. The brewed liquor is a lovely deep red color and the flavor is rich, sweet and smooth. This is a great drink for a dry throat , after a heavy meal, or just for enjoyment alone!

Please don't confuse our premium tuos with other lower grade tuos that are being sold everyhwhere! The lowest grade tuos we won't sell as they are made from tea fannings that is swept up off the floor of a factory after the "wu dui" fermentation process, and are totally un-clean!

Small size packs a punch

"Pretty much my daily drink. For a small size, the taste is robust. Now - I do not brew this as most would. Fire the kettle, heat the pot (4 C), refire, then brew. 5 minutes, period. Remove tea ball. Repeat in the afternoon. Two pots. Shipping, I rely on a lonely albatross."

Not the Best

"I found this tea to be rather on the bland side. Not a bad flavor, just not very much flavor, and I prefer to really taste the puerh. Note: I only brewed these mini tuo chas western/grandpa style, so it's possible that a different brewing method would yield different/better results."

Fantastic.

"This is a fantastic tea! I am new to Puerh, but I can confidently claim this will be a staple in my tea inventory. Very smooth and earthy."

Joe K. (5/5)

Great value

"This is a good every day tea. Nothing exciting or complex but has the classic shou taste I love."

Jared (5/5)

Smooth everyday drinker

"Surprisingly smooth. no weird notes. not too complex but a great every day drinker. Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. Would be a good introduction to shou pu'er for those new to it."

Very handy for those like

"Very handy for those like me who do not have the proper teaware to break up a big cake or brick. This tea is only my second ripe Pu-eh. It is not too strong. Pleasant and earthy in a good way."

Q&A

Hey there. Do you know the year of these pills? Or a likely range?
1 or 2 years old.
Just received my order and the first steep was delicious. Just wanted to check the right way to handle these minincakes. I rinsed with hot water then broke it up a little with a knife, rather than the normal breaking apart dry. Looks like the cake is coming apart by itself with watef added. Is this an OK way or would you recommend breaking up whilst dry? I feel like my way may be creating less powder. Thanks for the quick delivery by the way. Will review this one after had a few steeps.
Mini tuo can be brewed without breaking apart. If you prefer to break apart it will open up faster, but it's certainly not necessary to do so
