Unique and Fantastic
"This is simply an amazing tea. The infusion is an inky mahogany color and has a sort of warm petrichor scent. As you travel through multiple steeps in a gaiwan, there’s a creaminess that shows up and can be felt in the back of the throat. Generally has a very pleasant and clean leather/vanilla/dried cherry profile. I’m not very perceptive of what others call qi, but this tea absolutely produces a noticeable tranquil experience for me. If I could, I’d buy dozens of tuo chas so as to never run out of this stuff!"

"I love this tea because it reminds me of beets! It has a sweet and vegetal, but very earthy flavour. It's rich and dark, like to a good shou should be. It feels grounding, like the smell of roots."

Not getting all the hype
"Based on all the rave reviews, I was really excited to try my sample of this tea. I'm used to my shou preferences being kind of different than most, and apparently that's the case once again. It has a strong enough flavor - many shous just don't have enough flavor IMHO - so that's good. Unfortunately, the flavor is too grassy tasting for me to want to drink it again. This is a bit of a letdown for me, I'm afraid."

Archetypal pu erh
"Very good experience. Almost exactly what I look for in a well-aged pu erh. The taste and smell carry some of the mountain, lacking only the suggestion of old books and afternoons spent discussing life, the universe, and everything. Good quality for the price, up to 6 or 8 paos per pot (p3) and cooks up very dark. NOT a tea to be drunk in a hurry... Gosh, wait, no, terrible tea, don't buy it... I'll take it off your hands for you...."

I want to order again and eat it.

After eating 25g a few months ago, I ordered 250g this time. When I put it on the scale, it was 229g, so I thought about where 21 went. ^^ I want to order again and eat it."
