Entirely Mannuo Village ripe pu-erh tea! Mannuo is a Bu Lang Mountain area village that is well-known for cultivating tea that has a thick bittersweet taste! Raw pu-erh is typically produced from these high quality leaves, but this is a very rare pure Mannuo ripe production!

As a ripe pu-erh, this is also very potent, but avoids the heavy bitterness of Lao Man'e ripe tea. There is a light chocolate bitterness and a long-lasting returning sweetness in the mouth and throat!

Good, good stuff

"I got a sample of this to see how I'd like it and yep, absolutely great ripe! I'm pretty picky when it comes to ripe teas. . . most I find pretty boring unless they pack a punch. This one does that for sure. Lovely dark chocolate and earthy all the way through 7, 8, 9 steeps. The wet leaves after the rinse and first steep or two smell like chocolatey sweet molasses. I will definitely be buying a full cake. If you are hedging on trying this or not, you definitely should."

"My first pu erh cake! Very rich taste and notes I've never had before- the only pu erhs I've tried have been loose blends off adagio (which I also love, but their variety there is very limited for pu erh) I also love the wrapper art and I'd be lying if I didn't admit it influenced my choice a bit!"

Bu Lang delivers again!

"Certainly a higher grade puerh than a lot of others. Rich, dark chocolate-y flavor for the first 3-4 brews, and the next 2-3 are almost as good as the first steepings of other puerhs. Much shorter steep times than other puerhs too, so be aware that not all teas are created equal! Most other puerhs my first brew is about 20-30 seconds, but this one I do roughly 10-12 seconds, with 15-18 on the second! As usual, Bu Lang delivers more flavor, faster, and sticks around longer than other teas."

Feels like walking through a chocolate factory

"All kinds of chocolate in this one, some earthy notes alongside vanilla aromas. It also is slightly bitter. Very thick teasoup, great mouthfeel. I used ~ 9g for 100ml water."

DELICIOUS

"Plenty of dark chocolate , cocoa and leather in this one under pinned by a subtle deep caramel / toffee backbone . Lovely long lasting returning sweetness. DELICIOUS !!!"

Very tasteful

"A great tea! Completely agree with the review of Conner C. Quite an accurate description of what I feel in the taste. Reminds me Peerless puerh which I also like a lot."

Great Tea!

"I bought this tea expecting a mediocre for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. When I washed the tea I was hit with the deep clay, earthy aromas that shou pu'er's usually have and so much more. I got dry tobacco leaf, malty ice cream, and some pleasant campfire aromas as well. The taste was just as good as the aroma with a great tingly sensation on the tip of the tongue. Highly recommend this tea if your looking for a very affordable good shou pu'er."
