Entirely blended Menghai material (Ba Da and Mengsong) from spring 2013. Nice flower and sweet taste. Excellent hui gan and mouthfeel. Easily exceeds the quality of Da Yi productions!

Firm Compression - Solid Raw Pu’er

"I enjoyed this raw pu’er a lot. The compression is very firm, so you do end up with a lot of finer dust/flakes so I exclusively brew this with a strainer. The tea itself is great! Hints of rock candy with a lingering tobacco note on longer hot steeps. It can be over-extracted and can become bitter and astringent, but is quite forgiving. At this price point, it is an absolute winner!"

Didnt figure out how to handle the brick (?)

"The brick is very solid, and in peeling off the stems and leaves break. This creates very high astringency, tea comes out bitter on the first few steeps. Lots of leaf and quick steepings help decrease this, resulting in slightly too astringent but pleasant fruity taste."
