Da Qing Gu Shu (Da Qing Old Tree) is my favorite tea from Spring 2015.  It's made from old tree tea leaves picked from the first flush of Spring.  Da Qing village is located in Jinggu county and is a remote village with unadulterated tea trees growing in the nearby hillsides.  The leaves for this production are from one family whose trees are the oldest in the area.  The age of the trees between 100-300 years old.

The tea is perfectly balanced and is very stable through many infusions.  Bitterness, astingency, sweet, spicy and floral all at once with long lasting taste and feeling in the mouth, throat and body long after drinking it.

Very limited quantity one family production!

400 grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)

50kg in total produced

This tea has been tested in a certified laboratory for 42 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 42 pesticide residues. For a full list of the 42 pesticides we tested for and more information about MRL testing and the EU Food and Safety commission click on this link.

Really enjoy this one

"Dry leaf aroma of grass and citrus, grapefruit, lemon. First two steepings 15s each, after 15s wash. A slight bitterness that is very pleasant and mild. Nice aroma of wet leather, grass. Second steeping has a nice integrated sweetness. Third continues to have nice mouthfeel. Slight astringency that's very pleasant. A softness, almost creamy, carries the sweetness. Fourth steeping pushed to 45s. Water has cooled considerably. Now there's an effervescence, faint pepperiness. Some mouth puckering tannic astringency. Fifth. Heated water up again. Still really pleasant and mild, sweet, green, and grassy. Noticing a smooth and balanced energy. Definitely a well-rounded and highly enjoyable tea."

I enjoy this tea very

"I enjoy this tea very much. Smooth and floral. It leaves a pleasant bitterness and odd sweetness after drinking on the back of the tongue. Very nice mouthfeel too and the leaves are very nice. It also goes through quite a few infusions while staying interesting."
