Our Blue Label production celebrates the tail end of this Year of the Dragon.  We selected the highest quality ripe tea fermented from Yong De county spring harvest material.  Unlike most cakes from large producers our Blue Label cake is blended from mostly small leaf grade material with plenty of golden fermented buds.  We have also blended a large percentage of gong ting into this cake.

The tea itself is an aromatic affair, with hints of camphor and molasses.  Although young it delivers a thick and full soup with a nice mouth-feel, not unlike a good raw tea.  A high quality tea worthy of aging that is also priced affordably. Stock up on a tong or two for future years!

357 grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong).

Did not expect this!

"I'm astonished by how potent and strong this tea is! Since the tea is made from small tippy leaves and buds I expected it to be quite delicate, maybe a little weak in flavor - how wrong was I. When I first tried it, it blew my mind with how strong it was. Brewing with 8g/100ml with the first infusion lasting 8 s, it was very potent, very stong and full of flavor. I could even say the taste is somewhat overpowering. The leaves take 6-9 infusions. It's great for boiling on water. It's performance made me consider buying a whole tong and for the time this is my favourite Shou puerh. 10/10 -take it before they're gone!"

Ripe and Flavorful

"Will buy again..."

Very Aromatic Pu-erh

"I tasted it because I'd like to check the aromatic features of buds. There are a lot of buds in this cake, really. But I think that the taste will be blameless after 2-3 years of storage."

Dude I got the bing-hole

"I Just got my first shipment from YS today!!! The first item to be opened is a sample of this 2012 YS "Yong De Blue Label" Ripe Pu-erh. Nothing would make me smile as hard after a long day of work is opening my box ( a well-protected package that arrived faster then I anticipated) cutting the sample bag and realizing that -- I got the Bing-hole as my sample. Two washes (6 grams with 100 ml boiling water) and my first cup was clear light tea. On my second steeping, the tea became darker and became more viscous with light earthy flavor. The wet leafs are small with a smell of an old leather jacket just taken out of the closet. A smooth drinking pu-erh tea that will become better with age."
