Certified Organic "Snow Flower Bi Luo Chun" White Tea
An exquisite white tea made entirely from newly sprouted buds. This tea is picked once yearly in April during which the buds are consistent in length and appearance. They are a beautiful bright green color when brewed. The taste is malty with hints of fruit and cane sugar.
Snow Flower Bi Luo Chun (雪花碧螺春) is a tippy style of Yunnan White tea, which is a Xue Ya #100 varietal growing at and altitude 1300 meters (4300 feet) on the southern slope Ma Wei Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City). The processing is a kind of hybrid between green and white tea, with very brief kill-green, minimal rolling and warm air fixing/drying stage at the end. The unique processing, voluptuous Xue Ya varietal, and pure environment all come together to create a wonderful, unique, and (most of all) tasty tea!
This is a classic "pure bud" style Yunnan Green Tea, being a bud only (no leaf) plucking style. We recommend brewing gong fu style (short steepings at first) using 90C water and 5 grams per 100ml vessel. It can be brewed 6 to 8 times gong fu style!
