Lucky Brand 2005 pressing of Yi Wu area tea trees.  Spring harvested and stone pressed in the traditional manner.  The tea was aged in Guangzhou in relatively dryish (for Guangdong) storage condition.  Has a lightly aged feel to it, which has transformed the Yi Wu tea leaves into something sweet (honey-like) with notes of grass and orchid.

"Yue Chen Yue Xiang" 越陈越香 means "the older, the more aromatic."

An incredible value for fans of Aged Raw Pu-erh or Yi Wu teas!

357 Grams per cake

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

Aged and comforting feeling

"Mild (but not tasteless), has nice aged and comforting feeling to it. Distant grassiness. No bitterness. I can't taste honey though. Good value for the money."

So this is well-aged Yiwu

"Hews to the classic descriptions of Yiwu that I keep reading about but often fail to find (within my budget). Brewing it gongfu style this morning (flash steeps) and it has a clean, subtle sweetness without exhibiting bitterness so far. The description above is very accurate. I picked up a cake of this as I had wanted to experience a well-aged classic Yiwu without breaking the bank. I don't care if the leaves are a fancy grade or special provenance, because this tea is balanced and ticked all the boxes of what others said such Yiwu should be. Terrific buy! *Some astringency emerged when I pushed the steeping time to amplify its lovely taste, so I would keep my water temp slight lower in the later rounds."

My first Yi wu Pu-ehr

"This is my first Yiwu pu-ehr and i really apprecciate this!! Honey notes, sweet taste and no bitterness. Fantastic!"

Nice fruity aged tea

"Characteristic honey-like fruity Yiwu tea. Quite aged but no mustiness or earthiness. The taste is thick with a youthful lightness and no bitterness , there is also an impression of grassiness, like the grassy notes had just faded away. Nice, a bit mild but a pleasure to drink."

Aged Yi Wu for an Incredible Price

"If you are like me... you want something you like, but you know that just because something is Yi Wu doesn't mean it's good. Unless of course it's on Yunnan Sourcing! I got a sample of this being skeptical since the price is so low for an aged Yi Wu. It's aged, it's complex, it's Yi Wu. Just try a sample."
