Entirely Zhang Jia San Dui Village ripe pu-erh tea! Zhang Jia San Dui is a Bu Lang Mountain area village that is well known for cultivating tea that has a balanced and full-bodied taste.

As a ripe pu-erh, this is also very potent, but avoids the heavy bitterness of Lao Man'e ripe tea. There is a light chocolate bitterness, some longan fruit sweetness, and a mushroom earthiness in this lovely tea.

Pure joy of darkness

"I've received a nice chunk as a free sample in my last order. The tea smelled like molasses, reed leaf, and cacao. After a quick rinse, the smell changed to chocolate fudge and dark cherry jam. The liquor was dark, thick and oily right from the beginning. The brew tasted like bitter cocoa nibs, dark chocolate, slight pecan and allspice berries in the background. It had notes of wood, but not old, decaying like those hard fermented teas. This was clean and pleasant. I've used 7g of tea in a 100ml gaiwan and blasted it with boiling water. The tea could withstand it and produced 11 brews with almost equal strength. I was surprised by the bittersweet goodness. I will definitely come back to this tea."
