Ever since we started pressing our own Yi Wu teas back in 2009 we've dreamed of creating an offering of several Yi Wu villages bundled together in a single tong!  This Autumn (2022) we were able to find 7 amazing old arbor harvests from 7 unique villages in the Yi Wu mountains!  Additionally we've created an 8th cake which is a blend of all 7 villages!   So, in total there are 8 cakes in a bamboo leaf tong, one from each of the 7 villages plus 1 blended cake!


The 8 cakes in the set are:

Yi Shan Mo 一扇磨 (location) - Large leaf varietal 大叶种

Wa Long 瓦竜 (location) - Large leaf varietal 大叶种

Man Zhuan 蛮砖 (location) - Large leaf varietal 大叶种

Mang Zhi 莽枝 (location) - Mixed leaf varietal 中小叶种

Zheng Jia Liang Zi 郑家梁子 - Large leaf varietal 大叶种

Ma Li Shu 麻栗树 - Mixed leaf varietal 中小叶种

Ge Deng 革登 -  Mixed leaf varietal 中小叶种

Got this Tong to age, now decided to drink.

"I brought this Yi Wu mountain 7 village tong to age. In order to try the tea in its young Sheng state, I also brought the 25g samples. Once the samples were finished I decided to drink the Tong now, instead of aging it, as was the plan. The tea is sweet and fresh with returning aftertaste. The tea from each village has very similar quality charateristics. If you are on a journey to discover why young Sheng is so valued and enjoyed, I would deffinetly recommend purchasing both the samples and the Tong. You decide if you think its worth storing, or drinking right away."

Awesome teas

"Did a side by side of the "Zheng jia Liang zi" and the "ma li shu". They were both amazing, the Zhang Jia Zhang Zi has a crazy floral, incense aroma, almost like hand soap. My girlfriend thought I had left soap in the cup, it was so strong. The ma li shu was amazing also, thicker and more round, less floral. Can't wait to try the rest!"

"Obviously this thing is completely cool. I ordered the sample set, which in itself is genius (and a screaming deal). Drinking the Zheng Jia Liang Zi 郑家梁子 now. It's all peaches and cream up front but takes a hard left into a world of yeasty cheese, bittersweet butter grass, and camphor crystals. Thick and happy the whole time. And there's 7 more like this."
