We are excited to offer this premium ripe pu-erh cake made entirely from Spring 2017 Bu Lang mountain material. First flush material was collected from several Bu Lang villages and fermented for 46 days. After fermentation was completed, the tea was dried and graded. We blended the various grades to create a balance recipe comprising tippy golden buds and heavier grade Te Ji, 1,3 and 5 leaves. The term "Hui Run" refers to the sweet, slippery and soothing feeling that lingers in the mouth and throat even after the tea drinking session has ended.

357 grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)

Mouth watering good...

"This was delicious and probably my new favorite shou. Tastes strongly of white chocolate and vanilla in the first steep, and opens up to a bitter (in a good way) dark chocolate sort of flavor, all in addition to the usual good notes one expects to find in shou (woody, earthy, spices, etc)... one thing to note is that i noticed my mouth was watering and tingly from this tea. Only after drinking and noticing this did i come back here to look through the description and learn that it's name is actually in reference to this lingering mouthfeel/aftertaste that this tea is advertised to have."

GREAT everyday ripe

"I drink at least once a week and usually half of the week or so now because it's winter time. This tea is pretty affordable for an amazing tasting ripe that's also 357 grams!"

Bitter Cocoa

"Very good! It's dark and strong. Much less sweet then the Blue Label. Strong dark bitter cocoa notes, some wood, some dark dry fruits specially in early steeps. Has silky, mouth watering body. Really enjoyed this one."

👌

"Good leaf quality. Strong and potent. Some viscosity and nice aftertaste. I am glad I bought a whole cake."

Excellent Version in this Series

"I am impressed with the quality and consistency of the Hui Run ripe teas of Bu Lang Mountain. I have to admit that I am a big fan of Bul Lang Mountain teas. I have all the previous years versions of this tea. (2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017). I am now in the habit of ordering 2 cakes - one for sampling and enjoying and one for aging in my library. This tea only gets better with again as the 2011 version proves. This tea brews well and long. It releases a very Bu Lang flavors that are well balanced and pleasing. It is a delight on the palate as the session goes on."

Very balanced a 2018 YS ripe favorite

"A very balanced ripe and definitely one of the best YS ripe from this year. It alternates between common ripe tastes: sweet, sour, cherry, chocolate, cherry and vanilla (I didn't get any camphor). Has some red wine tastes. Slightly thick & rough and has cha qi. Goes for 7 _real_ strong & rich steeps but is nice for another 3-4 steeps."
