SAMA has created a super thermally insulated flask for brewing tea, and for keeping your tea hot!  Multiple layers of stainless steel with a ceramic coated interior makes this a great choice for those who want to brew tea without needing a tea table and various gong fu instruments!

This is flask has it all!  The flask itself is ceramic coated and well insulated, just drop your tea in there, add water, and then when you are ready to enjoy remove the cup/lid (which is stainless steel with ceramic coating on the inside, pop the gasket-style top (with built-in stainless steel filter) and pour!

This is a great flask for teas that love hot hot water and long steeps.  We have tested it with tight chunks of pu-erh, and hei cha (fu zhuan or qian liang) and it did wonderfully at extracting the full range of flavors and aromas present in the tea!

SAFETY WARNING:  Although this flask provides a watertight seal and can be carried in a bag, we don't recommend transporting it full of hot water. If you move it or shake it, it can build up pressure and when you open the gasket a bit of hot water could spray out. We recommend brewing tea in it and leaving it on a flat surface until such time as you open the gasket and pour the tea. It is also recommended that you don't fill all the way to the top when adding hot water to it, leave an inch or more of space inside to prevent water from spraying out when you open it. When opening it, keep it at an arm's length and away from your face, pets, children, etc. Failure to properly screw on the top tightly enough, or push down the gasket top properly could result in scalding water spraying or leaking out and causing burns. Failure to heed these directions, improper, or unintended use of this product may result in burns from scalding hot water. If the product is defective in any manner discontinue use immediately!

parfait pour les thé hei cha

"parfait pour les thé qui supportent les longues infusions. J'ai redécouvert certains hei cha grâce a cette infuseur isotherme"

Quality tool

"Two part review - first part on the flask itself. After regular use for a few weeks, I feel it is a solid, quality item that will stand up to daily use. The liner in the flask and cup keep liquid hot through my morning at work. Consider washing nightly to prevent build up of tea on the pour spout and gasket. Exercise caution when opening as some pressure may build and will splash some hot droplets at times. I have learned to simply open it facing away from me to mitigate. Second part is more personal on how the flask works in my tea regimen. I love the 400ml size as it's usually enough of a type of tea for me before wanting to move on to something else. The flask is designed to drop the leaves in and go, filtering at the spout, but I stopped using it like this after a couple of weeks. In my experience, only a few forgiving white teas or smaller amount of jasmine pearls (12-15) would tolerate the permanent steeping without getting too astringent for my taste. Instead, I now appreciate the simplicity of the size, insulating quality and built in cup as a way to take my tea outside of my home environment along with a vessel to brew with - a gaiwan or small pot. In this use, I am still satisfied, even if it isn't maximizing the intended use."

Get to know your tea

"A really well thought out and elegant product. (Elegant more in the scientific way I.e simple and well suited for its intended purpose.) It will help you understand and appreciate your teas from a different perspective. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that short, fast infusions with alot of leaf is the superior way of brewing (which for some teas it may be). However, I think we should always question our beliefs and experiment. I would have never previously thought about brewing a wuyi yancha for 15 minutes but the results have been incredible and sometimes superior to gong fu style. It has also shown me why I brew certain teas in different ways. For example I brewed the Peerless ripe in the flask and it was incredible. Thick smooth and creamy. However I also tried the 2016 Hai Lang Hao Lao Man E Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick, and the bitterness was more than I'd like. Now I know I'm using gong fu for this tea going forward for a specific purpose and outcome. Really reccomended for anyone who wants a new perspective and to experience their teas in a new light."

High quality flask

"Bought this as I often find myself wanting Tea but not having time or the ability to sit with a gong fu session while I do other tasks. This flask is very well made and keeps tea very hot for over an hour (probably longer). The built in strainer works well but as the other review says you do need to watch the first opening as it can splash a bit with the built up pressure, maybe unscrew rather than use the click top for the first pour. Only used it a few times so far so need to find teas which work best. 6g of a large leaf white tea steeped for 30-60 mins was pushed almost to astringency and had a big caffeine punch. Cutting back to 4g on a white/black blend for 10-15 min before starting to pour was much smoother. I think this will excel at ripe puerh, perhaps want to try heicha like Scott recommends. This might end up living in my work desk instead of at home."
