"Getting an off putting taste in the background. Too early in the morning to investigate further, but definitely not a comfortable tea to drink for me unlike more classic ripe recipes from Dayi and Xiaguan."

Sweet Rice and Grass Smell

"This one was a very unique tea! This was a new combination for me. I found the tea to immediately smell like sweet rice, upon brewing it was a very strong earthy almost hay like smell. In my opinion I don't find it to be as sweet as other Puerh teas, but it is very smooth and has the slight sweetness from the rice. May purchase again!"

My favourite puer for daily drinking

"I love the softness of this tea and special aroma of the rice scent herb. I usually drink it in the afternoon because it doesn't cause sleeping problems (as regular puer does for me), but it still gives a nice energy boost and concentration."

Tasty, like warm glutinous rice!

"Very surprisingly tasty for a daily drinker shu. Perfect balance of the pu'er base and the 糯米香 herb. My only gripe is that it is a little "dusty" so I like to put the tuo in a muslin bag before steeping. Strong brew and lovely glutinous rice taste all the way to the end 🌿 The glutinous rice aroma is more of the "savoury" glutinous rice type, like as if it's cooked with coconut milk and a little salt. It's not cloying like sweet glutinous rice cakes. I love it 😋"

"I am in love with these things. They have a very strong salty rice smell but the taste is super pleasant and mild, the tea is sweet and caramel-like. The puerh used in these tuo cha is surprisingly decent quality and carries very little of the “funk” that you try to avoid. I was wary to buy tuo cha knowing that sometimes they are funky but these are a great surprise!"
