This is a premium ripe pu-erh tea made from a small wet pile batch (about 400 kilograms) composed entirely of Spring 2019 harvested Guang Bie village Bu Lang Mountain material.

The degree of wet piling is medium-light level with some green still showing in the leaves.  The cake is a blend of tippy and medium sized leaves and has a medium level of compression.

This is a potent and complex Bu Lang tea with dark chocolate bitterness, dried fruit sweet crispness.  Delivered in a creamy viscous body with a dark tea soup, this tea can go 10+ steeps gong fu style!

Reviews

spectacular and clean

"Brewing: 6g/100ml, 100°C, flash rinse, 10s x 3, +5s. Warmed-up dry leaves smell of old wood, stone fruit and cocoa. When wet, spices and a bit of smokiness appear. The liquor has an intense taste of stone fruit, wood and liquorice, blended together very well. Spectacular and clean."

Smooth taste and intense qi

"Quite rich, smooth and creamy. To me this seems like a medium to medium-high fermentation, not medium-light. Very strong qi! A light bitterness. Not as complex and juicy as Jun Ai but perhaps more approachable."

Superb Ripe Bulling Man from HLH

"I love my Bulling Man ripe. I have a large amount of themin my Puerh Library and I am also a fan of HLH - he does something magical with them. I ordered two bricks of this tea without blinking an eye based upon reviews only. Let me say this - it more than just good. This is a rich, smooth, and thick tea. The brick is highly compressed, yet yields easily to my pick. I love the rich dark color of HLH's teas. I am always impressed with the number of renderings I can get from HLH ripe. He is a master and this tea is one of his masterpieces. I have some of his much more expensive ripe and this tea goes to the top of the list. Just something you can drink and feel good as you savor the smoothest and richness of the brew. A nice pleasant aroma from the brew. This is definitely a powerhouse when it comes to its Chi - it is potent but a dream to experience. A wonderful addition to my extensive library, but definitely one of the best."

Getting the Whole Brick!

"I recently ordered 3 shu pu-erhs from Yunnan Sourcing - all of which are fantastic. I only ordered 100 gm. sample this Hai Lang Hao because I didn't want to spend more money at the time. Alas, after sampling this tea, I had to place another order for a whole brick as well as more shu pu-erhs! This is a very satisfying and complex tea with many layers. Highly recommended as other reviewers and Scott have said - A great value as well at 500gms for a tea that is ready to go right now."

Fave Shou

"So glad I got a sample of this -- instantly became my favourite Shou. Rich, sweet, thick, with a really pleasant crisp bitterness; very dark chocolate vibes. Nice strong cha qi to get going in the morning. Fantastic."

Magnificent!

"Got this as a recommendation from YS for a good Bu Lang and I'm very happy with it: Very smooth with a complex but compact, full flavored body with a sign of crispy juiciness in the mix that makes drinking the dark infusion a very joyful experience."
