These rose buds are grown wild and un-tended in the mountains of Guangyuan county in Wenshan prefecture of Yunnan.  The rose buds are hand-picked and sun-dried briefly so they can be stored without losing their lovely essence!  The dried rose buds are about 0.3 to 0.5 cm across and weigh between 0.15 and 0.3 grams each.

You can brew them alone (4 or 5 grams per 100ml brewing device) or mix with black tea, ripe pu-erh, or anything else!  Wash once briefly with boiling hot water to clean and awaken them!

May Harvested!

The Best Roses!

"The most magical rose buds I have ever come across! Fragrant, rich color and beautiful flavor, opening slowly in tea providing many dimensions of delight. I have used these rosebuds season after season in my herbal tea blends for my company. The best roses around. Thank you, from Oshala Botanicals in Arizona!"

Nice visual, olfactory and savory addition

"These rose buds are great for three things : - Making your teapot visually more attractive when brewing - Adding the slight, fleeting smell of roses to your tea - Mixing in the taste of roses in the teapot with the flavor of the tea. I experimented with a couple teas already and the intricacies of smell and taste that develops depending on the type of tea is very interesting. Bare in mind that it's not an punch in the face kind of experience, but rather a very subtle one that you have to actually pay attention to your senses when drinking. Adding these and trying to find out what changed in the taste and smell is a very nice experience."

Amazing

"These smell amazing. Love brewing these with ripe puerh. They round out the brew, and adds a red wine note to it. Also works well with robust black tea. The aroma when you open the package is worth the prize alone."
