"Can't begin to describe how many times I handed this to a friend with a high fever and seen them the next day healthy as a bull. 2 cups before bed, brewed at 90c⁰, 3 minutes each from the same leaf, voila. The taste shouldn't be too astringent if done correctly, there is a sweet aftertaste. This is a miracle medicine and I don't need any more proof of that fact, it keeps fresh for many years and it's so pungent, I only use as medicine so 100grams lasted me almost half a decade, the entire reason I ran out is because I share it so much."

"Very fresh, intact leaves, high quality product, a cure for a 100 illnesses that other tea doesn't easily help with. A must have, everyone needs it."

A different opinion

"When they say it's bitter, they really mean it. The experience was worth the price of the sample, but I couldn't even finish a single cup; to my taste, this is utterly vile. No opinion on the purported health benefits. Since all the reviews are glowing, I feel I should offer a different perspective; if you know you love bitter, you may somehow enjoy this. But if you don't, and you're not interested in the purported health benefits, this probably isn't for you."

Oft misunderstood

"Kuding is the only herbal tea in china I can enjoy , unsure if the health benefits are true but it absolutely feels the most cleansing and active of all teas I would strongly recommend starting VERY slow 1-3 needles at most One thing I most enjoy about this tea is a refreshing drink on the go at work or while traveling, holds it's flavour longer than any real tea , does not degrade into a waxy spent tea taste , no fuss no mess , get a coffee thermos , toss in a couple needles , give it a quick rinse and you can add hot water all day Please be aware it has very little caffeine some varieties zero , some would be like a teaspoon of coca-cola , but is medicinally active , the bitter taste quickly backs away for a sweet aftertaste"

Enhances oolong

"1/2 gram added to a moderately priced 40% oxidized oolong adds an interesting twist, and brings out some subtle aromas in the oolong. It's quite bitter, so use sparingly."

Solves stomach issues

"Solves stomach acid reflux! Infuse very long to get the very bitter taste. Add lemon juice to make it drinkable. The bitter taste solves acid problems."
