Da Qing Gu Shu (Da Qing Old Tree) is made from old tree tea leaves picked from the first flush of Spring.  Da Qing village is located in Jinggu county and is a remote village with unadulterated tea trees growing in the nearby hillsides.  The leaves for this production are from one family whose trees are the oldest in the area.  The age of the trees between 100-300 years old.  

The tea is perfectly balanced and is very stable through many infusions.  Bitterness, astingency, sweet, spicy and floral all at once with long lasting taste and feeling in the mouth, throat and body long after drinking it.

 

Very limited quantity one family production!

"this is my favorite pu-erh. It is very good from start to finish. Thick sweet tea, with a hint of bitterness. Clearly fruity at first, with the aroma of peaches, bananas and grapefruit. Each next subsequent brewing is creamy and the fruity aroma is still present. On the occasion. I've already drank a lot of different pu erh from different brands. I must say that the brand of Yunnan Sourcing is distinguished by quality. All teas are very good quality, from inexpensive to expensive. Of course, they are different, but that's what it's all about. All cookies are perfectly packed, perfect compression of the leaves. The leaves are always in good condition, not broken. Cakes are clean with no garbage !!! Therefore, I do not buy and I will not buy a sample, just buy a complete cakes. Every YS tea is good quality and I like it. Thank you YS, just keep going!"

"I was looking for a tasty Pu Erh - which I definitely got with the Da Qing Gu Shu. The smell is sweet (on the fruity side, probably most likely nectarines and apricots). Tastes very fresh and fleeting, but still with a bit of a dry finish, which is well suited for summer. Strong sweetness in the aftertaste."

"This tea is consistently great from year to year. If I only purchased one sheng cake per year, this would be it. Great aroma, great taste, smooth, thick, pungent; it hits all the right notes. Older editions of this are aging quite gracefully. While I love this tea now, I'm also really curious how a cake as clean as this will turn out in 10-15 years. Looking forward to that :]"

Balanced and Beautiful.

"This is maybe the best young raw pu-erh i was able to tase, it has an impressive balance of flavors and taste. You can taste the passion yunnansourcing has for its tea in moste products, but if i could only recomend one tea in the world it would be this one. i'm pretty sure there are some teas here that will have more ageing potential, but this is perfekt as it is at the moment, give it a try fellow tea lover =) if you looking for a yound sheng you wont be disappointed."
