Nuo Mi Xiang (糯米香 Semnostachya menglaensis H. P. Tsui) is the Chinese name for Sticky Rice Herb.  Nuo Mi Xiang is a natural herb that grows in Yunnan and has been mixed in a very small ratio with a 2019 ripe pu-erh tea to impart a sweet and glutinous rice taste to the tea.  There are many grades of this Sticky Rice Scent herb and we have selected the highest most potent grade available! Combined with the high quality ripe pu-erh tea we used makes this little cake a delightful and unique experience! 

This production is not branded by Yunnan Sourcing in any way, so it might be a good option for those not wanting to re-sell our brand.

The ripe pu-erh (but not the rice scent herb) has been tested in a certified laboratory for 191 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 191 pesticide residues. "Strong 糯米香 aroma, mushroomy base. It's more "savoury" compared to other sticky rice teas, which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for! I personally love it and it feels like a mushroom zongzi in tea form 🌾 The cha qi is strong. The cake is somewhat brittle with dust forming easily when broken up, but at least not iron bing level of compaction! Solid daily drinker for sticky rice fans. Wondering if the mushroom notes would be milder or more complex with age 😋"

Lovely Sticky rice puer, many steeps.

"1st sit with this tea: Sticky rice flavored puer is what got me into tea so it has special place in my heart. Now many years later I still enjoy it from time to time. The quality of my local suppliers sticky rice tea really fell off a cliff and I've been searching for a replacement. This tea has plenty of sticky rice flavor but is also well rounded, it also steeps alot further than most of the sticky rice touchas I have had which typically are only good for 3-4 steeps. This is good for 6-10 or more. Very satisfied so far."

"The quality of tea is as can be expected from YS, but unfortunately I did not like the strong sticky rice herb perfume and flavour. So, in my view you should do as I did, if you do not know this kind of mixture, test a sample to get an informed view.
