2018 Yunnan Sourcing "Autumn Da Zhong Shan" Old Arbor Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
We are proud to offer an old arbor tea from "Da Zhong Shan" area of Mengku! This tea is picked from high altitude old arbor tea trees (100-200 years old) growing naturally on a steep hillside with good drainage and sun exposure! Cold winter temperatures often well below freezing give these trees a toughness that translates into very aromatic and complex tea!
This tea was entirely processed by hand from start to finish. Hand-frying, rolling done by hand, and of course carefully sun-dried.
Da Zhong Shan is just north of Da Hu Sai village (Mengku, Lincang). The tea is grown just west of the village at an altitude 1950-2100 meters! The location of Da Zhong Shan (大中山) is here!
A complex and full-bodied pu-erh that was carefully crafted to perfection! This is an excellent candidate for further aging!
A total of 20 kilograms in total was produced. We pressed these tea cakes with a stone-press and used low-temperature drying to preserve the integrity of the tea.
