Chen You Shan is a small An Hua area tea producer that produces their own Fu Cha, Tian Jian and Qian Liang (and Bai Liang) Cha. They have been producing teas under this brand since 2010. Their attention to care and detail in their productions is admirable and we are proud to be able to offer this incredibly delightful Black Tea Fu Brick!

This 1 kilogram tea brick is composed entirely of first flush of spring 2023 harvested material from Fu Rong Mountain in An Hua county of Hunan. The tea was processed into black tea first, and then pressed into bricks where the golden flowers flourish in the inner section of the brick where the conditions are just right to support them. After a few days and the Golden Flowers start to thrive, the bricks are dried gradually using a temperature of 37C which gradually halts the spread of the flowers without damaging them or the tea leaves.

An incredibly delicious and special black tea with a unique Fu character! The tea is thick and sweet, with notes of fruit and honey. The tea soup is burgundy in color!

1 kilogram per brick. If you want an intact brick, please choose the "1 Brick (1 Kilogram" option).

A truly great hybrid tea!

"I love almost equally black tea and heicha, and having one that combines the best qualities of each is so exciting for me. I didn't know what to expect, not sure if it would be just a plain black tea brick, but just made with Hunan material, or a fu brick that just has a touch of oxidation, so they can technically call it a "heicha black tea" and get away with it. But I was very pleasantly surprised. I can clearly tell that it's made with material used for heicha, it has those funky, thick and woozy notes, but with the fruity, malty and bright notes of a good black tea. This one is truly a hybrid, just wonderfully perfect for when I'm not sure if I want a black tea or a fu heicha! Reasonable people would just get a sample, try it first then see if the full brick is for them since this is such an unual fella. But since I'm so interested in this tea, I went through the unreasonable route and risked ending up disappointed. Well, I can just say I'm so glad I got the full thing. Worth it, and it has a great price. Win win, love it!"
