Take a flight back to Autumn of 2014 to the famous pu’erh region of Lincang Prefecture. Taste a curated selection of samples from our 2014 Yunnan Sourcing Brand Autumn Lincang Tea Cakes and develop an appreciation for the distinct aroma, flavor and mouthfeel of these amazing teas.

Pu-erh tea is made from Yunnan large-leaf varietal of Camellia Sinensis. It is typically processed into compressed cakes, bricks and tuos. Pu-erh is particularly special because it can be aged for decades or longer, always changing and (in most cases) developing more depth and texture. Raw Pu-erh (生茶) is the traditional form of Pu-erh, and is sun-dried and compressed.

Lincang Prefecture is one of the largest pu-erh producing tea regions. Bordered by Burma to the north and Pu’er Prefecture to the south, Lincang is home to a few of the most famed areas of tea production. Bingdao and Xigui are two of the most famous. Tea remains a central crop and product of the region.

非常不错的样品组合

"非常喜欢有点年份的生普,有独特的香气,临沧茶相对还是比较浓郁的,香气实在是太好了,每款都很喜欢,必须回购整片母树茶,冰岛和箐梅山。"

delicious and interesting

"I found through tasting each tea that they all had a similar smooth, somewhat fruity flavor. A couple did stand out in terms of strength and complexity of flavor to me, those being the Big Snow Mountain and Bing Dao Autumn Raw Pu-erh. Overall I enjoyed each tea, but think they could use a couple more years to mature."
