Good value for the price

"Highlights are more grey-ish than the deep red-brown on the pictures. Knob tends to get a bit hot during long sessions but nothing too problematic."

Ed (4/5)

"Though I expect some variation for such an affordable price, the brown glaze on the pot I recieved is has a sizable scratch on the lid. The matte porcelain is very nice, and the shape of the thing is spot on. I enjoy the piece and will be using it, visual imperfection is no big deal for me and could be a one off problem."

Great gaiwan, fast shipping, very secure packaging

"The Gaiwan is perfect! It’s a nice size, and a hefty porcelain that doesn’t feel cheap in the slightest. Shipping was quick, for coming from halfway across the world, and it was packaged very well, there would’ve had to have been a terrible drop for it to break, and luckily that never happened. Overall a great gaiwan, have gotten much use out of it already!"

I really like it. It

"I really like it. It looks good and is it stays good in your hand. For me is the right size for brewing."

"Nice little gaiwan. Exactly as advertised."

Pleasantly surprised

"I bought about 15 of these to share with people who were just getting into Gong Fu brewing. I wanted to gift something that was simple, well built, easy enough to use, and would allow them to see the color of the soup. I recently had the occasion to actually use one, and was really pleasantly surprised - so much so that I'm inclined to use it as my primary gaiwan! I don't find the knob heating up to be an issue if I don't overfill it, though I'm not a beginner with gaiwans. It's a good size for brewing for three, with an excellent seal on the lid, and a nice thickness that holds in heat. Because it's matte, it's not slippery or fiddly to use. Feels very solid, and yet looks elegant and simple. As usual, excellent value from YS."

My favorite gaiwan

"The matte finish makes for a nice feel in the hand, the white shows off the tea nicely, the brown accents give it a classic look, and since it's glazed I can use it with any kind of tea and clean it easily. What's not to like?"

Wide Gaiwan, Good Size, Durable

"An attractive wide bowl gaiwan. Good size for brewing tea for one or two people. Durable and easy to handle. The matching wide bowl cups are also nice!"

Lid gets hot

"Gaiwan looks nice. The knob on the lid gets easily hot, compared to others gaiwans."

Great Gaiwan with minor gripe

"This gaiwan is classy but not too flashy. I love the white so you appreciate the colour of the tea. Only trouble is that you can't place lid in between the base and gaiwan."
