Pure Silver .999 Teapot for Gong Fu Tea Brewing.  Expertly crafted in Yunnan (Qujing County) this pure silver teapot combines function and beauty with an elegant flair.  Crafted by Yunnan's most skilled silversmiths in Qujing county (a place with more than 1500 years history in smithing fine silver objects), this teapot will perfect your gong fu cha tea brewing experience!  It is believed that silver provides the best possible medium for water and tea to meet.  This is .999 silver, which is the highest grade purity possible.  The teapot has been tested before sale to ensure a good lid fit and flow.  Have you ever had your heart broken by dropping your favorite clay teapot?  Not to worry, this teapot will never break even if you drop it!  You'll be able to pass it down to your children!

The handle is a type of ebony hardwood that is cool to the touch and very durable!  There can be a slight gap between where the handle meets the body of the teapot to prevent dry rot.  This is intentional!

"Great. Perfectly made. Beautiful. But it's hot to touch on the tip when pouring."

Very nice quality

"I’ve purchased several silver teapots from Yunnan Sourcing, the handcrafting and the silver are the top notch. They will be some of my best collections."

Amazingly beauty thing

"Our tea times has started to be much more pleasurable with this tiny beauty ) At the same time the silver teapot is very universal and useful for any kind of tea. I am absolutely happy with this purchase"

Silver pot with outstanding look

"This teapot has two major aspects to desire it for your collection: first of all, it's just beautiful; secondly, it's a silver pot with all properties of a metallic vessel for a tea brewing without any significant metallic taint to a water. I like it and use it quite often, only one thing to care about from its design - one would need to use some tool, like thongs, to take a lid after hot water had rest any time in it, just to avoid possible burns to your skin. Other than that, totally worth to use and to admire its look on the shelf. And on photos for sure."

Absolutely Beautiful!

"This is stunningly beautiful, quite substantial feeling, and expertly made (I've learned a few things about fine metalwork over the decades from my sister, the silversmith). It is more substantial than I expected and there is no doubt in my mind that it would survive any household mishaps which are likely to come its way, unlike a lovely little clay pot I had, which had fallen. That, plus the ever growing number of clay pots for specific teas, was why I decided getting a silver pot might be an economical, as well as practical move. And then I saw this pot, and was clicking "Add to Cart" almost before I knew what I was doing. I was unsure how the silver would affect tea making, and think I shall have to learn to draw back just a wee bit, both on the temperature of the water, and on the length of time I steep. The teapot not only gets amazingly hot immediately (no surprise there), but the heat does not dissipate rapidly because the silver is thick and substantial. But the tea, what about the tea? I can see why Scott likes silver teapots. The tea is somehow brighter tasting. The flavour notes are more pronounced, and this is more noticeable than the difference between a clay teapot and a glazed gaiwan. I shall have to drink more tea to quite get the hang of it, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Thank you, Scott, for carrying this lovely pot!"
