This classic "jin cha" or mushroom tuo is made entirely from Certified Organic ripe pu-erh tea, harvested in the Wu Liang mountains of Simao.  Nan Jian tea factory is based in Nan Jian township just north of the Wu Liang mountains and uses certified organic tea leaves from the region to compose their raw and ripe tea cakes.

These lovely mushroom tuo were aged in the warm mist shrouded climate of Nan Jian.  This aging has imparted a thick and sweet ripe tea that soothes the throat and warms the belly.  Very smooth tea with a burgundy red tea soup.

Sublime

"This tea has been great from every aspect. It shines the best brewed in a vacuum thermos, ~12-15g/1L brew at least 20 minutes then enjoy. Great qi and mellow oily flavor, really sits in the stomach nicely."

Deeply Stimulating Tea

"Found a bag of this tea that I had broken up and forgot about on my tea shelf for a couple of years. After revisiting it I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what this cake was and where I’d gotten it from. I can safely say this is one of the best bang for buck ripe puerh’s Ive ever purchased. The texture really stands out to me, it’s very oily and thick on the lips but seems to disappear in the mouth as if dissolving and becoming part of the lining of your mouth and throat. This is followed by a blast of earthy flavor, like leather, soil, and desert rain. Really can’t recommend this tea enough and will be imminently buying more of it! Plus after a heavy session the cha zui was intense, wakeful and lucid but had me feeling more open and aware and mindful of the world around me than Ive felt from tea in a long time."
