Yi Bang Village is an area in the northern part of Yi Wu. Yi Bang tea is special in that it is not a large leaf varietal but rather a primitive small leaf varietal that has grown in this area for hundreds if not thousands of years. Like other small leaf varietal wild arbor tea trees in Yunnan (Jing Mai), the flavor is lighter and more smooth, but the aroma is pungent and fruity.

Our Yi Bang ripe tea is incredibly smooth and sweet, but with a dense pungent flavor that remains potent and complex with many steeps! A totally unique ripe tea, unlike others we've produced!

Great beginner ripe.

"It’s difficult to describe this tea without it being interpreted as somewhat negative. I have nothing negative to say. It is unique, but not like in a “wow, it tastes like peanut butter” way. The flavor is light, but it has a medium plus body. Clean, somewhat generic ripe flavor, but again, is clean, soft and pure. A no brainer beginner ripe. Zero bitterness, regardless of how hard you brew it. A very slight astringency on the finish. I suspect that many wouldn’t even notice. Aftertaste is very light and does remind me of a soft Yiwu raw tea. Its uniqueness makes it hard to rate, but its quality is undeniable and even though it is lacking in what I want in my morning ripe, I thoroughly enjoy the tea. The cha chi isn’t a sledge hammer, but it is not a light weight contender either. It comes on pretty rapidly in the chest and halts before overwhelming. Peaceful, clear headed and alert."

Uncommon ripe Pu-erh!

"Not your typical ripe! It's very, very smooth and sweet, it has no bitterness at all and its body is slightly thin (which isn't bad at all!). TeaDB made a great video about this tea and I recommend watching it. For me, this tea isn't a daily drinker as it is very uncommon. It's unique but it's so damn tasty! Recommended."
