Golden Bamboo Garden Village (金竹园村) is a small village in Jinggu county that lies at an altitude of 1450 meters. It's a remote village with only a small dirt track access to it, and has many wild tea trees growing on the steep hillsides both above and below the village.

This tuo was pressed in the spring of 2013 from entirely wild arbor tea harvested by two families in the village. The tea was stored in Jinggu town for 4 years and then Kunming thereafter. The result is a lightly (but noticeably) aged elegant beauty of a tea. Smooth, with fruity tartness and a strong long-lasting sweet after-taste and layered complexity makes this a must have tea for those who can appreciate wild arbor teas and their more subtle character (in contrast to the harshness of factory plantation teas).

Honey and passion fruit goodness!

"This one is a sleeper, I didn't expect to love this tea so much. Oily, silky smooth, honey drizzled passion fruit with a long lasting huigan. And a noticeable cha qi that doesn't overpower you. What a nice experience!"

Worth a try if you havent

"Got this tea originally as part of the May sampler, loved it so much my next order I purchased 2 tous. Citrus on the nose as well as good flavor. Being fairly new to tea i think this is a good winner."

Pretty Much Amazingly Amazing

"Don't let yourself be fooled by the simple white wrapper. I tried a sample of this tea and immediately ordered quite a few tuos. Absolutely slamming tea in every respect. A lot of raw pu-erhs I don't bother with smelling the dry leaf, but with this tuo, it took me about 17 hours to actually start brewing the tea because I couldn't stop shoving my nose in the indentation of the fully-wrapped tuo. Yeah, the dry leaf aroma is that good. Some teas that smell really good don't always reflect that same personality in the flavor of the brewed tea. This one does. If you like Jinggu teas, you need this in your life. Heck, it's so good that I don't just need it in my life; I think I'm going to need to have some buried with me when I die so I can enjoy it in the afterlife, too. Then again, I'm not sure if I want to risk that because I could possibly have misinterpreted some Wikipedia articles about the afterlife, and the last thing I want to do is let any of this tea go unconsumed. It has the hallmarks of a tea that will continue to age well, although I'd be perfectly content if it completely ceased aging right now. While my favorite teas are those pressed by YS, this tea is near the top of my favorites list. Stellar, stellar tea that hits way above its price point. Get some!"
