A tiny production from a small grove of old tea trees (三棵树) growing near Bang Dong village in Mengku county of Lincang.  Entirely picked and processed by one family from Late March to Late April.

Very pure tea with strong cha qi.  Mouth-feel is textured and lively, nice slight bitterness that leaves the mouth quickly.

250 grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo tong)

Only 80 cakes in total produced!

A Surprise to be Sure, but a Welcome One

"I ordered many samples of tea, this one being included and immediately fell in love with it. The aroma is super chocolatey, almost white chocolate, and desert cakes dusted with cinnamon and cocoa. It is super velvety, thick tea soup by just the first infusion. The taste is like a drinking liquid smores, it's unreal. You can taste the graham cracker, the marshmallow, and the chocolate but just the first infusion. The flowery note is there too, it's much more of a sweet syrup flower like honeysuckle. It's also a very inoffensive tea, it feels like the bitterness is about to come, but never arrives. The flavor persists for a while after drinking it, and moves into a fruity, juice aftertaste like stone fruit, I can't quite put my finger on it. This isn't a power house, hit you in your face, kind of tea, it's one that eases you into a state of reflection and contemplation. The energy from this is quite odd, not like many others, it feels like it ready's you for something like how an excitable tea would, but makes a sudden stop and causes a deep almost impromptu meditative state. I will for sure be picking up a cake before it's all gone, a really good focus and meditative tea for sure."
