Man Zhong Qing Village (蛮中青) is a small village west of Jinggu county seat in Simao at an altitude of 1700 meters. The tea material used to create this lovely black tea is from wild arbor tea trees growing naturally. The varietal is large leaf assamica and is often processed into pu-erh tea as well.

Pure Large Leaf Assamica varietal tea leaves from wild arbor trees processed with skill makes a fantastic black tea, that can be aged with great results! Just keep sealed and store in a cool place.

Fruity, with a light vegetal astringency and a thick full body with long lasting (and returning) sweetness makes this black tea a good choice for those who love complex "chunky" black teas!

It's amazing

"Very cozy "winter" tea with intangible citrusness. It can withstand many brewings. Highly recommended"

This tea is wild!

"Absolutely stunning black tea that should completely wreck your preconceived notions that all black teas taste the same. The wild arborness is very prevalent and is so enjoyable that I don't even care that "arborness" probably isn't a real word. The leaves are big and burly, nicely oxidized with hints of green here and there, and I can see this being a tea that ages very, very well. I checked my order and had to do a double take when I looked at the price. This stuff is not expensive at all, and I don’t think I would have batted an eyelash if the price had been $5 more for the same 50 grams. Then again, I don’t actually have the ability to bat my eyelashes. Last time I tried, my eyelid started twitching uncontrollably and I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room. Thankfully, it stopped after a few hours. Lesson learned. This tea taught me an even more important lesson, though, and that is that black tea made from wild arbor material is phenomenal. I will be purchasing more of this tea. Some to drink and some to age. If you’re looking for a black tea that really stands out from the pack, this is what you want. Get some!"
