Excellent black tea from Tong Mu

"This is one of my favorite black teas. Fruity, chocolatey, sweet with a nice thick texture. If you enjoy black teas, you should give this one a try."

High Quality

"Rich, full and flavorful tea. I keep most of Yunnan Sourcing’s ZSXZ teas on my shelf and this one is top shelf. I love the rich, full flavor. You can taste the craftsmanship."

A nice tea, but you are paying for the Tong Mu name.

"This is a well-executed Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, fruity and sweet with a thick texture. I do feel the price-per-gram is a bit high compared to the other YS offerings, this tea is not twice as good as YS's non-Tong Mu Fujian ZSXZ offerings, yet the price is double. So I would recommend only choosing this tea over the others if you have a specific interest in tasting the Tong Mu terroir."

"Excellent tea; shipping was a bit slow"

Daily drinker

"This tea is so rewarding that it has become my daily morning tea. Stone fruits, roses, lilacs and a bit of smoke. I get 7 infusions brewing it gong fu. There are some interesting YouTube videos about the village of Tong Mu that show what a wild and wooly place it is. I'll definitely be buying more of this!"

Very interesting and pleasant taste

"Very interesting and pleasant taste even after the third brew. I recommend!"

Tong Mu Black

"Infusable, long last steeps are worth it with this, unusual raw ginger and vinyl notes along with dry blueberry, enjoyable dryness from the returning lingering taste in the 2nd and 3rd steeps,"

One of my favorites

"Last year I ordered the Tong mu Guan Imperial Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong and it was one of my favorite black teas. They didn’t offer that one this spring, so I tried this instead. This one is just as good and has a very similar taste. I love it. Hopefully it will stay in stock long enough for me to get the funds to order more. I love Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong. To be honest, no matter what tea you order from Yunnan sourcing, it is going to be of excellent quality and relatively affordable. I have been ordering from them for years and I have yet to be disappointed."

Q&A

How does the flavor of this tea compare to your Spring 2017 "Tong Mu Guan Imperial Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong" Black Tea? That tea was one of the best black teas that I ever had and I was going to order more this year, but it seems that there is no Spring 2018 harvest of it. I especially liked the Lychee smell and taste. Do you have any recommendations for any other Hong Cha with a similar flavor profile? Thanks
It's similarly good, a little bit different, but I think if you liked the Imperial from 2017 you'd really like this one. I can make some other recommendations if you send an email or use the chat interface.
