This "little treasure" tea cake is pressed from Mengku area tea leaves harvested in Autumn 2020 and Spring 2021.  This is a potent tea cake with plenty of bitterness and astringency!

A strong tea with nice cha qi and long lasting sweetness in the mouth and throat.  Some bitterness and astringency as well gives this tea cake the needed fuel to transform and gain complexity with the passing years!

An enjoyable and affordable aged raw pu-erh!

Good tea but sometimes has

"Good tea but sometimes has sour taste for me"

everything arrived well and tea

"everything arrived well and tea tasted great"

Compression Is Incredibly Hard

"I think it would taste better if I could break off a large part of the leaves. It’s so incredibly hard to break up. It’s impossible to get anything but broken pieces. I will have to try another method to break up this cake. I’m afraid to steam it. I don’t want to ruin it. Of what I’ve tasted has potential. In my opinion if I could separate it properly."

Pretty good actually

"I got this with the BOGO offer. I haven't yet developed a full range of Raw Puer taste profiles, so I cant speak to heavily about it. But it tastes great nonetheless, even my brother who has never tasted a raw puer liked it a bunch. As others have said as well, for the price its pretty good actually, cant wait to see how it ages over time."

Ahmad A. (4/5)

Sweet, bitter and fruity

"As the title says, it's indeed a mix of those three categories and I can only recommend this tea. I'm actually surprised how cheap this one is because it tastes more expensive. I can confirm the compression issue, this is really hard to break apart and you should be careful while doing so."

The taste is strong &

"The taste is strong & also bitter, gets better after 3rd brew. Cant wait for this little treasure to age."

Certainly a Little Treasure

"First couple wash may have bitter/slight sweetness but afterwords it has nice astringent sweet flavor. Cha chi is warming and comforting"

Yuki M. (5/5)

nice and clean

"Good, clean, young sheng that is fun to drink now but will also probably age very well. It's bright and sweet, with some fruity-floral notes coming out in the second half and sticking around until the party is over. What I like most about this tea is how clean the later infusions are, it is clearly made from high quality leaf material and not just leftover scraps. Cha qi is nice, it's got some stimulating qualities to it that take this cake to another level. It feels and drinks like a lot more than a $30 cake. Only issue I have is compression - holy crap. I didn't know Ronnie Coleman was pressing tea cakes nowadays. Maybe it's just the one that I got - but I need to be careful when prying these leaves apart, I'll either break my pick or stab myself if I'm not careful. I got this for free, so I can't complain, and even though it's probably going to require power tools to get to the center of this cake, I still think it's a fantastic blend with lots of flavor and excellent mouthfeel. I enjoy everything about this tea from first to last cup."

Solid Raw Pu-ehr Tea

"Exactly as described. As noted in another review, this tea is very compressed. The taste is astringent, a bit bitter, but is very pleasant on second, third, and fourth brews. Pleasant smell to the tea, mild sugar, and reminds me of a very young mixed whiskey for some reason. Nice tea for cold weather, and flavor lasts long. I imagine it will age very well."

Devon T. (5/5)

A little treasure

"Very appropriate name. Tea is very compressed, smells sweet honey and flowers perhaps some sugarcane and incense. The taste is strong but astringent, also bitter, but astringent. With more fruity and sweet notes from 4th brew. I'm sure it will age well in 6 years it well be really good tea and after 12 years a great one. For sure it's a little treasure that will gain value over time."
