Entirely spring 2018 harvested tea leaves from Man Ban village (曼班) old plantation tea bushes.   Man Ban village is a Bu Lang area village that is southwest from Menghai and further south and west from Lao Man'e village at an altitude 1500 meters.

This is an enjoyable full-bodied Bu Lang tea.  Bitterness is not overpowering and the one year of aging as mao cha before pressing has given this tea a nice rounded taste.  Lots of sweetness, with a long-lasting mouthfeel and potent cha qi!

What a Treat!

"The review left by Johnathan is still pretty spot on 5 years later. I'm having a lot of fun drinking this one. Maybe I'm giddy because I blind bought this cake and it's delicious or maybe it's the effects of the tea. 8g/150ml jianzhan gaiwan, 100c 15sec wash, 100c 10sec first steep, flash steeps after that. Lots of subtle bitter, vegetal upfront with sour fruit giving way on the backend. After about 7 steeps I flash brewed 3 steeps in a row at 100c and stacked them in the cha hai. Real laid back juiciness does well to coat the mouth. Bitterness is just ever so on the back of the tongue cause my mouth to water."

"Full flavored, rich manuka honey, cantaloupe and white grape. Above average, but restrained bitterness, even if pushed. Long oily aftertaste with lots of dried apricot and natural sweetness. I like young Bulang and this is a decent value for drinking right now."
