NOT FISHY Sweet, woody, complex and smooth

"This is the first ripe pu erh I have ever tried and it is very good. When I first got it I thought it might taste fishy because of its unique smell but after the wash it was gone and the flavor was amazing with an incredibly smooth mouth feel. My dad described it as the smoothest least bitter tea he had ever drank this is a steal of a deal"

Classic Xiaguan Recipe

"I have had Xiao Fa from the early 90's, and several from the 2000's and 2010's and it's consistently good. The aged Xiao Fa are stellar teas! Getting a few bags for longer term aging."

Cheap but good

"It was the cheapest pu-erh in my order, but surprisingly it turned out to be no worse than pancakes for $50, the taste is mild with a taste of prunes. The condition is not aggressive. Next time I’ll order more, good for a gift and for tea every day."

Nice everyday shu puerh

"These tuos are from 2023 so they are still quite fresh. They are easier to open than I originally thought so relatively big parts of leaves can be removed without wasting too much "dust". Leaves have a nice walnut and dried plum fragrance. Overall quality seems much higher than the price would suggest at first glance. I started with 5g of leaves for approx. 120ml (boiling) water in porcelain gaiwan, as usual. Early infusions show the dried plum and some walnut fragrance and taste as well with smoothness, sweetness and a bit of creaminess. Bitterness is very little (if any). Aftertaste is a bit sour, surprisingly, but long lasting. During further infusions, plum side taste fades out and woody notes are emerging with a bit of bitterness. This is quite a nice tea, especially for the price. Very pleasent, good choice for everyday consumption. I expect more creaminess and sweetness, more refined with some aging but we will se later (I bought 3 tuos so I will be able to test later too)."
