Entirely Zhang Jia San Dui Village ripe pu-erh tea! Zhang Jia San Dui is a Bu Lang Mountain area village that is well known for cultivating tea that has a balanced and full-bodied taste.

As a ripe pu-erh, this is also very potent, but avoids the heavy bitterness of Lao Man'e ripe tea. There is a light chocolate bitterness, some longan fruit sweetness, and a mushroom earthiness in this lovely tea.

This tea is quite tasty.

"This tea is quite tasty. True to the description, it has predominant fruit note with some mushroomy aroma. Slightly bitter but not unpleasant. Good body although I usually prefer thicker tea (I'd call this medium-thick)."

Jarrod F. (4/5)

Thick and dark

"I received this as a free sample in my order and was quite impressed as it has qualities I can appreciate in a ripe puerh. Highly recommend if you like rich, dark, chocolatey ripes that last 15+ infusions. The taste isn’t too woodsy or strong/harsh in any direction. Creamy, pours pitch black. Pleasant aroma and flavor…I drank about 1L and still had life to it. Not a bad night tea since it gives a relaxing chill vibe."

Good, formidable ripe puerh

"That's a very good everyday ripe, with strong character. In some sense it reminds me heichas, with its rye bread aroma and aftertaste. But, unlike the heichas, it's definitely a strong tea which rather fills with energy instead of calming and relaxing (as most of heichas do)."
