Liming Tea Factory is located in Menghai and specializes in both ripe and raw pu-erhs composed of Xishuangbanna tea leaves.  This cake was stored in Kunming since 2006, and is a blend of several Bu Lang mountain villages' tea!

Thick, with tons of Bu Lang sweetness and some bitter to as well.  The many years of aging in Kunming has given this a depth and character that is totally unique and very pleasant!

"This tea kicks ass! It's very strong tea that can be infused many times. There is smokiness but it's mild to me, there is bitterness but it's also sweet with a Medjool date aftertaste. The chi is out of this world."

"3 to 3.5 stars would be my rating for now. This tea offers a long lasting and fully loaded sweet floral aftertaste as well as a thick soup with a good texture to it. Ratings are highly subjective - I would place 3 to 3.5 stars as a middle ground for a solid tea. To me this Liming has (especially in the first steeps) quite some strong, initially slightly sharp smokiness, like a mixture of pine-smoke and medicinal peat like you get in Islay Single Malts, Laphroaig for example (not 'that' strong of course). There comes a sweetness on the tongue together with it. The strengths of the tea are texture and aftertaste, which is really strong and pleasant. If I were fond of a stronger smoky character, I would definitely rate this higher. I can imagine that the tea develops well over time, maybe a few more years to round it out a little. Because the bitterness and fullness is there to make it a nice candidate for further aging."
