These lovely mini tuo have been dry aged in Kunming since 2015 (previously stored in Menghai). They were produced by a Menghai area tea factory and are composed of broken leaf ripe tea (高碎茶). Don't be confused or put off by the leaf grade, as the quality of brewed tea is excellent, as good as many similarly aged cakes or bricks. This mini tuo can be infused 5 to 7 times (gong fu style) or more without losing much flavor.

The taste is creamy and thick, with a typical Bulang coffee-like bitterness and a sweet after-finish!

An incredibly convenient and tasty aged ripe tea that can be had at an unbeatable price!

"Get a mug. drop one in, add boiling water, wait 20 minutes and you've got a remarkably nice shou. It costs basically nothing, but has all the goodness of a good aged shou!"

A Pleasant Surprise

"I was given three mini tuos with a recent order. Since I got into Pu-Erh several years ago, I have always been skeptical of mini tuos, as I have heard many sellers will pack low grade teas into mini tuos to leverage convenience over flavor and quality. When I went to wash the leaves, I was stricken by the low leaf quality and amount of 'tea dust' (but a quick jump to the product description which immediatley states "Don't be confused or put off by the leaf grade..." alleviated my concerns). Despite my initial skepticism, I actually really enjoyed the tea! I am very sensitive and can easily be offput by Pu-Erhs with even a little remnant of the "fishy" wo dui fermentation flavor/aroma still in it, but the flavor of this tea was surprisingly pristine. I don't have the most sophisticated palate, like some other reviewers, but for me this basically tastes like a Pu-Erh should (albeit without the complexity of higher end, well-aged teas). In all, at this price point and with the convenience of the mini tuo, you really can't beat this tea for everyday drinking! I will be ordering at least 250g more (maybe 500g) with my next order to keep in my office."

Good taste, amazing value

"If you like ripe pu-erh or are interested in trying it, but don't want to buy a whole cake, this is an excellent option—especially for the price. The individually wrapped mini tuos make brewing very simple, no need to chip off a lump of leaves, just pour your hot water over it. You'll know the "wash" is done when it starts to break apart, about 10-20 seconds. Taste is pretty typical for ripe pu-erh, so it's a good one to try if you've never had it before."
